Note: Standard Grants have been renamed to Visegrad Grants.Visegrad Grants offer funding for people and organizations from the Visegrad countries (V4), Western Balkans countries (WB), countries of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) and worldwide who believe their projects can make a significant contribution to regional cooperation and the advancement of innovativeness and sustainability in Central and Eastern Europe.Each year the Visegrad Fund also supports projects addressing annual strategic goals of the Visegrad Group. In 2017 they include regional competitiveness and connectivity, security and stability and promotion of the V4.In the last 16 years, we have supported more than 5,000 of projects encouraging partnerships among NGOs and civil society organizations, public institutions and local governments as well as educational and research institutions in the Visegrad region and beyond.Any legal entity (organization) or natural person (private citizen) worldwide is eligible to apply with a project proposal involving participation of at project partners from at least 3 V4 countries. The active involvement of partners from 3 V4 countries is therefore a prerequisite for applying.** Projects that deal with specific local issues in border areas/regions (e.g. Tokaj wine region, Těšínsko/Śląsk Cieszyński, the Tatras) within 40 km from the border can be implemented on a bilateral basis.Guidelines 1.1, 1.5Any original proposal can get support if it deals with V4 regional cooperation, advancement of innovativeness and sustainability in Central and Eastern Europe in one of our eight focus areas:Aside from 8 regular support areas, we seek projects addressing strategic goals of the Visegrad Group:We also seek proposals particularly targeting Eastern Partnership countries. These can be eligible for co-funding by partner donors if addressing one of seven priorities:The fund doesn’t support infrastructure and investment projects.Guidelines 2.2Decisions are made on a quarterly basis up to 50 workdays after each deadline by the Council of Ambassadors and upon the recommendations of the selection committee headed by the fund’s Executive Director. The selection committee considers following criteria:Guidelines 3Grant amounts vary depending on the size and scope of the project. The average grant support for supported project in 2016 was around €20,000.Project proposals are accepted only electronically through an on-line application form at my.visegradfund.org by 11:59:59 CET (noon) on given deadline date. The application system opens 30 days before each deadline. Applicants need to register with a valid e-mail address to start a new application form.
